We are excited to present the 2025 Community Partner Award to Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable
Economy (CAUSE). CAUSE is a base-building organization committed to social, economic, and environmental justice for working-class and immigrant communities along California’s Central Coast. They build grassroots power through community organizing, leadership development, coalition building, civic engagement, policy research, and advocacy. CAUSE has been a strong community partner with PPCCC over the years. Across the Central Coast, we have worked together to advance health equity and environmental justice policies that protect the communities we serve. They have been partners in education and advocacy including reproductive health, COVID-19 outreach and education, health protections for farmworker communities, and working for fair redistricting after the 2020 census. More recently, CAUSE worked with us to support and educate our communities on Proposition 1, which enshrined the right to abortion and contraception in the California Constitution, and Prop 35, which will provide dedicated, ongoing funding to protect access to health care in California.
